senior gearbox & systems engineer

Accountabilities:

• Deal with Engineering Operations Mechanics to organize car part testing and sign off within timeframe defined by Assembly Manager and imposed by F1 calendar.
• Perform car component’s sign off tests and characterization, as defined within RB Test Dpt. Procedures.
• Manage all the required data analysis to provide the most accurate test results to other involved departments.
• Undertake studies, schemes and design of test rig, based on technical information provided by the Design Office, according to the guidelines of the Assembly Manager and management.
• Work closely with the Design Office to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electronics, race teams and external partners.
• Support the Race Team attending on track or from remote Race and Test events following Engineering Operations components performance and reliability.

That matters for this role:

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in Hydraulic automations, mechanical design, particularly in the context of Formula 1 or high-performance automotive industries.
• Good knowledge of Hydraulic components.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools such as Siemens NX, McLaren Electronics or similar.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to motivate and guide a technical team.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills required; Italian language fluency is preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and as a team player.
